Deployed for Easter (Again)

Today is the third Easter since 2004 on which I've been deployed.  I should probably be celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, but mostly I've been thinking about my beloved wife and children.  It really doesn't get easier.

I will say this ... there is probably no country on earth that needs to know the true meaning of Resurrection Sunday like Afghanistan.  Talk about a place that needs to know the hope and joy and peace of a Risen Savior.

  1. May this day fill you with a hope, joy, and peace that transcends all in spite of you're being so far away, missing your loved ones. Many blessings!

  2. "Here we have no continuing city." But we DO have one (just not here)!

  3. "It really doesn't get easier." That's the truth. Deployments, especially over the holidays were/are never easy. Keep your spirits up and be safe out there! Christos Voskrese! Voistinnu Voskrese! (Christ is Risen! Indeed He Is Risen!)
